There is a report regarding illegal pokemon trafficking inside one of the abandoned warehouses on the outskirts of Slatesport city. Investigate it. Cadet Tara will be partnering up with Officer Gwyra, we wish you good luck.

His steps announce his arrival, flanked by two canines; a large Arcanine and a small Riolu.

"I pray I didn't make you wait long. How are things looking?"

With calm green eyes and an small, everpresent smile, Officer Wledig finally reached his junior, his gaze on the warehouses in the distance before turning towards her.

A young woman. A Police cadet. A motorcyclist. And, a smoker.

That was everything he knew about his partner; he hadn't been handed a file on her, so he would need to get to know her on the job. Her very first mission- as well as his own.

For the Hoenn's PD, at any rate.

His work with INTERPOL not being something he could disclose, he had ended up as a regular, run of the mill officer, managing to skip over cadet segment thanks to what was perceived as 'related work experience'.

His hand moved to pet the Arcanine's neck besides him as Raki moved to greet the officer cheerfully, the puppy waving up excitedly at her before turning towards the warehouses in the distance and shadow boxing at them with an eager grin.

A calm steps announcing the arrival of her partner, a man with a well-toned body followed by a large Arcanine and a small Riolu alongside him. Tara can feel the urge of Sharkie to bite the small Riolu however, she is able to reign her in - Her long experience alongside Sharpdeo makes her capable to reign her back easily. "You come at the right time. There is not much activity is happening right now but I have not approached the warehouse yet to take a peek at what is happening inside. Give me a moment" Tara informs her superior in this case. Tara's eyes wander around, there are two empty vehicles; a jeep and a truck parked not too far from the other side of the building. Tara calls out Nyaonix and lets her goes to the vehicle and the warehouse to check the situation while holding Tara's backup phone that is currently connected to her phone through a video call. Nyaonix walks silently to check the vehicle where there is nothing inside the car nor the truck - There is a sign of a claw mark on the truck but that's all.

While the warehouse interior itself is divided into two-floor but there is no ceiling separating between the first floor and second floor. There is an old metallic stair that is accessible from the outside to the second floor. Right inside the warehouse - Through the help of Nyaonix that infiltrate the place without alarming the people. The video display shows a gentleman on a suit guarded with giant Charizard and Machamp while he is presenting an angry Alolan Sandslash on a cage.

Tara shares the video feed with Gwyar and asks for an opinion, "I have a plan to propose. I am going to make a ruckus and force them to run away through a certain route, I wish for Gwyar-senpai to intercept at that route." Tara asks while opening a map around her on her phone and point at the route she is going to lure them out.

Gwyar looked silently over the map, cupping his chin thoughtfully before glancing over to the scene displayed in the phone once again.

Her plan assumed the enemy would run away, but given the pokemon they had brought with themselves, the ones they might have on pocket, and the fact that they may well assume she was alone...

Well, there was plenty that could go wrong.

But- she had proposed it for a reason. He would trust his junior to have thought things through.

"Very well. I'll leave some help."

His shadow shimmered under him before merging with her own while he turned his gaze towards his Arcanine and nodded, before swinging himself atop it, his Riolu leaping up to grasp on his shoulder.

"Be safe, Officer Arnnelia. If anything goes wrong, contact me immediately."

With that said, his Arcanine burst forth in a blur of motion, moving to position themsevles to intercept.

Gwyar lends some help in a form of Aegislash that hides within the shadow. Tara nods in confirmations and walks to the entrance, calling Garchomp and Luxray to her side. If she is going to make a ruckus, these two should help her to achieve that. Her heart starts beating loudly but she tries to calm herself down by sharp inhaling. With one big movement - Tara slams the door open, "Slateport PD, hands in the air! You have been surrounded!" Tara declares. The gentleman and the buyer look surprised with the sudden appearance of Tara but the gentleman quickly adapts to the situation. "Charizard, show our rude guest the way out" His Charizard unleashes a pillar of flame that flies straight at Tara however Light quickly grabs Tara aways and Garchomp counters it with a DRAGON BREATH contesting with the Charizard's flamethrower. While Charizard is busy with Tara's Garchomp, the gentleman's Machamp lifts up a big heavy crate and effortlessly throwing it to Luxray.

Luxray generates electricity to cover all of her body and charge right through the crate and destroy it making many steel appliances scatter around them. Luxray injures herself slightly from the wild charge but she still stands up gallantly. "If you can follow me, my generous buyer. While my pokemon make her busy, I will escort you out" The gentleman guide the buyer and the angry alolan Sandslash to the route that is not within the target. Tara, who noticed it, starts to curse - She slightly underestimates the capabilities of his pokemon. The Charizard keeps flying around and blasts a flamethrower at Garchomp while Garchomp keeps countering it with Dragon breath, for Luxray Machamp keeps trying to toss Luxray away but she keeps evade it and crunch the Nachamp's bicep before she got thrown away. When Tara thought he gonna run away due to her recklessness - Nyaonix cries from the second floor. "Nyaonix, don't let that gentleman away!" Tara shouts, Nyaonix releases an odd psychic wave and destroys the ceiling making it fall to the ground blocking the route. The gentleman curses under his breath and shifts their route to the exit where Gwyar should have been waiting.

"Officer Gwyar, the target, and the captured pokemon are on your way" Tara sent a message to Gwyar notifying him while she return on keeping those two pokemon busy.

"Understood. Galatine, if you will."

The sound of crashing steel had been mildly alarming, but his companion seemed fine so Gwyar had remained in his spot, arms folded behind his back and flanked by several canine pokemon.

The red headed officer's shadow suddenly stretched at high speed, merging with the dapper looking man's own, a sword and shield emerging from within and erecting a barrier around itself, catching the two men and the 'merchandise' in the process.

The canines moved to surround the barrier as the Aegislash wrapped its sash tightly around the two men, forcing and securing them together like rope.

"The men have been successfully apprehended, officer Arnnelia."

A thunderous crack fills the night, drawing the attention of Gwyar and their prisoners alike.

Seeing as the building did not fall, it seemed as though the sound was much worse than the actual damage- still, the blonde officer sprinted towards it without delay, swinging himself atop his Arcanine as it swiftly caught up with him.

"Secure the prisoners!" He ordered the rest of his pokemon.

The source of the sound became clear as soon as they were inside, the Gargantuan Wailord stretched flat across the floors while the light of the stars shone down upon it, the ceiling missing almost in its entirety.

Excessive, but effective. Hopefully the damage wouldn't bite them in the ass.

"Any injuries, Officer?" He called out as he climbed off his Arcanine.

"So long as you are well."

He turned his gaze towards the destroyed ceiling, assessing the damage before shaking his head.

"Given their free access to this place, there's little doubt that whoever truly owns it is affiliated with them. These damages shouldn't cause us any trouble."

They would need to look into it; the chances of finding a lead to the owner were little, but a clue might drop on their lap if they tried to chase this thread.

He turned his gaze back to his partner, nodding before turning on his heel to move back towards his pokemon.

"Indeed, my pokemon have them secured."

He swung himself atop his Arcanine once again, before turning his eyes to the younger officer.

"Don't dismiss your hunch just yet. There is always someone at the top with dealings such as this, Officer Arnnelia."

There was much for them to do still.

"Very well. I'll keep an eye on the criminals." He said, nodding.

He went back to his pokemon, finding the men unconcious with his Aegislash hovering ominously over them. That took care of that.

Seeing as his junior was gone, the man allowed his gaze to turn skyward, brows pinching together in thought while he stared ponderously at the full moon.

He didn't know for sure why he had been assigned to this case, despite ostensibly being a member of the Sootopolis PD.

He supposed it wasn't much of a loss to lend out officers from a force that was entirely undermined within its own city, but...

He couldn't help but think something be amiss.

After a few moments of standing guard, his junior returned with some evidence in hand, prompting a smile from the blonde.

"Well done, Officer Arnnelia." He said with a nod, before turning his gaze towards the distant sound of sirens and the flash of red and blue in the night. "And just in time, too; doesn't seem like we'll be waiting long."

His Arcanine approached the man, allowing him to lean back against it and turn his gaze up to the sky.

"... You seem very driven, Officer Arnnelia." He said after a moment, tilting his head her way. He smiled. "Aiming high?"

Hoenn could certainly use some of its competent, young people in more leadership positions.
